Assess the damage
Run a fingernail across the mark. If it catches, it has gone through the clear coat into the colour — that is what touch-up paint fixes. If it does not catch, a polish may be enough. Deep gouges that reach bare metal on your ACURA should be primed first so they do not rust.

Find your exact paint code
Guessing the colour never matches. Every ACURA has a factory paint code on a sticker (usually in the door jamb, under the bonnet or in the boot). Read it, and match your touch-up kit to that exact code — not by eye.

Clean and prep
Wash the area, then wipe it with the prep solution and let it dry fully. Paint will not bond to wax, grease or moisture. Mask around the scratch if it is on a body line.

Apply in thin layers
With the micro-brush, lay the colour-matched paint into the scratch in thin coats — build up gradually, do not flood it. Let each coat dry before the next.

Level and finish
While wet, glide the application card flat to lift the excess so paint stays packed in the scratch. Once dry, run the corrector over it and finish with the clear coat for a glossy, factory-matched result.
